Eir Announces Extension to Gigabit Fibre Network

Eir recently announced an extension to it’s Gigabit Fibre network, expanding its presence to 79 towns and villages across Ireland. Together with its rural fibre rollout programme, which completed in 2019, more than 800,000 premises across Ireland can now access superfast fibre broadband. 
eir’s Gigabit Fibre Network has arrived to premises in the towns below and customers can check if they can already avail of this service at eir.ie/broadband/checkyourline/

It took me 30 minutes to get through to Eir to order broadband. Catch: unless you take a two year contract there is a 100Euro installation fee. Placed an order - turns out there is an issue with the fibre in the road - two months to fix

I would gladly consider Eir but only if they get their atrocious Customer Service act together. I've heard nightmarish stories. But on the other hand it's nigh impossible to get through to Virgin by phone. The only way it seems is by text which is very unfair to some customers like myself.

Hope it WILL be without breakdown like VODAFONE which is a Dissaster as is their accounting system which despite payment by D/D THEY ALSO FALSELY DEMAND payment again AND threaten disruption of service PLUS Reconnecting fee Truly a ??? Brilliant ??? Service
