Today, we publish our Big Date Night Index which compares the cost of a romantic date across Europe and the news isn’t too bad.
On the plus side Ireland slips 3 places to 6th when comparing the average cost of a date night with that of a night on the tiles. We are also thankfully behind France (Europe’s Romantic Capital) and the high cost supremos Denmark and Luxembourg.
In total the average cost of a date night comes to €130 for a couple which per person is far less than the average night out. Dinner takes pole position in terms of costs coming in at €54 and followed by Babysitting which comes to €50. Cinema tickets on average cost €18 for a couple and you can nab a standard bottle of wine for a cool €8 (for now anyway ahead of minimum pricing laws).
The bad news, of course, is that you only have 8 days left to get yourself organised for that someone special before the big day hits!
